Radio star Kyle Sandilands will list his renovated mansion for an eye-watering price on the outskirts of north-west Sydney.

The co-host of KIIS FM’s The Kyle and Jackie O show paid $3million for the Glenorie property in the Hills District back in August 2022.

His wife, Tegan Kynaston, had given birth to the couple’s first child, Otto, just weeks before the purchase.

Carolyn Wheatley Principal at Belle Property Dural will list the property on Monday. The price guide for the 1980s mansion is $5.7million to $5.9million.

“It’s a wonderful home and Kyle and Tegan have worked tirelessly on a beautiful renovation,” Ms Wheatley told Realestate.com.au.

“They have blended the traditional Georgian character of the home with a contemporary upgrade, that is in keeping with the lineage of the home.”

The 9580sqm property, which expands onto bushland, was last renovated in February last year.

Ms Wheatley revealed Sandilands decided to sell the weekender because he wanted to be closer to the city.

The Glenorie property is 50km from Sydney’s CBD.

The Glenorie two-storey home offers 832sqm of internal living space with six-plus bedrooms, five bathrooms, private study with a custom library, and multiple formal and informal living areas all with soaring ceilings.

Outside there is a large walled garden, a paddock for livestock, a pool, and entertainers lounge, offering sweeping mountain views.

Before the renovations, the home featured a red-brick façade and white pillars.

Sandilands’ reported primary residency is in Vaucluse, in the city’s east. He bought the harbour-view home for $14million in 2023.

Sandilands, who was born in Brisbane, is not shy when it comes to buying homes. In 2008, the Australian Idol host bought a modest property at St Ives, Sydney’s northern suburbs, with first wife Tamara Jaber.

He sold the home in 2014 after the pair’s divorce.

Sandilands has also purchased properties in Los Angeles in the United States, Port Douglas in Far North Queensland, and acquired a 61-hectare farm in the Southern Highlands region of NSW.

He and Ms Kynaston last year bought a property for $1.8million at Copacabana on the NSW Central Coast.

The home is a four minutes’ drive from Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s $4.3million mansion in the coastal town.

“We were looking (on The Central Coast) because my wife’s family, her mum, her brothers (have homes there),” Sandilands previously told Triple M Central Coast presenters Paddy Gerard and Maz Compton.

“We looked at the same place the Prime Minister bought. It’s a beautiful place.

“But the backyard, it’s 6m of lawn and then 30m of cliff to your death and with a two-year-old I thought it wasn’t good.”
