Authenticity will be the key for NBA 2K, as the company prepares to release the 2026 version of the world-famous game.
As they seek to continue to evolve the game, NBA 2k26 will feature more inclusions from across the NBA than ever before, as they look to submerge players in the world of professional basketball.
From team-specific arenas to break performances, new broadcast options and a full integration of the NBA Cup, NBA 2K26 aims to mirror the real-world league as closely as possible for players.

According to VP of NBA Development at Visual Concepts Erick Boenisch, the latest offering will transport players into the world’s most elite basketball league, bringing to life the sport and the world around it.
“We want to blur the line between reality and gameplay as much as possible, and NBA 2K26 portrays that lifelike presentation like never before,” Boenisch said.
“Each detail, big and small, captures the essence of what it feels like to be in your favourite team’s arena – the championship banners hanging from the rafters, iconic broadcast voices, and fans cheering and heckling in the stands are fully brought to life.”
The newest NBA 2K game will release in Australia on September 5, and will be playable on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
