After the news of NBL champion Jack McVeigh was brought to the attention to Cairns fans to reportedly sign with the club, the Taipans are now apparently in ‘advanced talks’ with former NBA player Admiral Schofield as their next target.
According to ESPN’s Olgun Uluc, the club is working on signing the 6’5″ forward for the upcoming season.
Admiral Schofield – a 6’5 American forward – is in advanced talks on a deal with the Cairns Taipans, sources told ESPN. He played four seasons in the NBA, and is coming off a stint with ASVEL in France, where he averaged 6.9 ppg (50% 3PT, on 3.5 3PA) and 2.0 rpg.
