This week’s selection features two independent heavyweights that are not pulling their punches. Moser uses ceramic for the first time, and Richard Mille uses TPT made from basalt stone for the first time, using 40-micron-thick basalt fibres stacked at a 45º angle between layers, creating a wood-like grain. Seiko amazes with a GMT inspired by the automotive world, and our beloved seconde/seconde/ returns for a brilliant collaboration with Citizen. Enjoy the reading!
H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Tourbillon Concept Ceramic
Moser’s signature Streamliner collection gets its first-ever ceramic addition in an anthracite grey tone.
A red fumé grand feu enamel dial creates a dramatic contrast with the dark material of the case, without any branding in the typical Moser style.
It is powered by the HMC 805 calibre, with a flying tourbillon at six o’clock and the characteristic double balance spring.
Price: CHF 89,000.

Richard Mille RM 41-01 Tourbillon Soccer

The entire thing is then skeletonised to provide room for its 650 internal components and is then finished in grade 5 titanium.
