I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here fans aren’t happy with the grand finale’s format, despite cheering on the show’s season 12 winner.

Concetta Caristo has been crowned queen of the jungle, beating former Canberra Raiders star Luke Bateman and Alexandra’s Project actor Garry Sweet.

The Triple J radio comedian seemingly won the hearts of viewers, nabbing the public vote as well as $100,000 for her chosen charity, Full Stop Australia.

However, while fans had the final say in the winner, they seem disappointed in the show’s final format, with many calling out Channel Ten for pre-recording the finale.

Instead of filming the episode live, production filmed three separate endings, with both Bateman and Sweet shooting scenes in which they were crowned the victors.

Once the public votes were revealed, the actual winner’s pre-recorded reaction was aired.

Taking to Reddit, many I’m A Celebrity fans expressed their distaste with the pre-filmed ending, adding that it made the final episode anti-climactic.

“It’s wild that there is an ending they filmed where Gary is sitting on that chair and his kids run up to him in celebration… And now it’s just nothing,” one person wrote.

Another added: “That was the s***test way to end. They could have at least also cut to them live at the venue they’re watching it on tv to see the real reaction given we all knew it was pre-recorded. BOO.”

“Here we go, the moment of truth… which prefilmed ending will they show,” a third chimed in.

“It was so anti climactic because of the pre filmed ending. I agree – it would have been great to see a cross to the pub with the celebrations,” another penned.

Others were elated that the radio star took home the top gong.

“I was hoping Concetta would win, she’s endured so much in her life and her enthusiasm for life is infectious,” one person shared.

Another gushed: “This year I was hoping for either Gary or Concetta. Yay Concetta!”

“Soooooo happy Chet won tho,” a third wrote.
