Apple is preparing a rapid-fire start to 2026, with at least five new products expected to be unveiled across a three-day announcement spree in early March, alongside new details of a bold red iPhone under consideration.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, a new entry-level MacBook is likely to be among the headline announcements, which is part of the company’s highly anticipated global ‘Apple Experience’ event.

Previous reporting indicates the device will be powered by Apple’s A18 Pro chip – the same processor used in the iPhone 16 Pro Max – marking a shift away from the company’s usual M-series silicon for Macs in a bid to lower costs.

The laptop is expected to feature an LCD display and be priced under US$1,000 (around A$1,500), potentially making it one of Apple’s most affordable notebooks in years.

Despite the lower price point, Apple is reportedly sticking with an aluminium chassis, manufactured using a new faster and more cost-effective production process.

Colour is also tipped to be central to the device’s appeal. Apple has reportedly tested finishes including blue, silver, dark grey, light green, pink and light yellow – aligning with the layered yellow, green and blue Apple logo featured in the invite sent out to media.

Speaking of colour, Gurman suggests Apple is testing a deep red finish for the iPhone 18 Pro models later this year, potentially building on strong demand for the current “Cosmic Orange” variant in China.

The last time Apple offered a red iPhone was in 2022 with the (PRODUCT)RED iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus (pictured above).

Apple first introduced a red model with the (PRODUCT)RED iPhone 7 and 7 Plus in 2017, meaning a burgundy-style iPhone Pro in 2026 would arrive nearly a decade after the colour first appeared in the lineup.

In contrast, the long-rumoured foldable iPhone is expected to debut in more conservative colours such as black and silver.
