Providence College announced Wednesday that the Anaheim Ducks prospect will join its men’s hockey team for the 2024-25 season.

Drafted 10th overall by the Anaheim Ducks in June, McQueen becomes the first top-10 pick — and sixth first-rounder overall — to join Providence’s program.

The 18-year-old forward recorded 10 goals and 10 assists in 17 games with the WHL’s Brandon Wheat Kings last season.

Across 127 career WHL games, he tallied 35 goals and 86 points.

He’s the latest in a growing list of CHL players set to join the U.S. college ranks in 2025-26, following a rule change late last year that made them eligible to do so.
