Police have identified Katherine Sanowski as the woman who was found dead at a Bellbird Park address last Thursday as they launch a homicide investigation.
Detective Inspector Michael Manago said police believed the 42-year-old Springfield Lakes woman had been in the house for two weeks before she was found at the Beryl Court property on February 19.
He said police were called to a disturbance on the street about 11:30am where a person was reported to be damaging property and disrupting traffic.
Detective Inspector Michael Manago said a 34-year-old resident was taken to hospital where they are undergoing a medical assessment and have not yet been interviewed by detectives.

Speaking at Yamanto Police Station on Tuesday, Inspector Manago said a murder investigation was launched after police received autopsy results.
“There were some suspicious elements in regards to some of the injuries that were identified during the post-mortem,” Inspector Manago said.
“The exact nature of those, I’m not prepared to discuss at the moment.
[But] as such, we’re treating it as a homicide … and we have an investigation centre being established at the Yamanto police complex.”

Inspector Manago said the resident and the woman were known to each other but were not related, and Ms Sanowski had not been reported missing.
“The dynamics of their relationship remain a key topic of our investigation,” he said.
“Their previous history is subject to continued investigations.”
He said there was no known history of domestic violence.
Detective Inspector Manago said there was no threat to public safety and expressed his sympathies to Ms Sanowski’s loved ones.

“We don’t believe anyone else was involved but we’re keeping an open mind,” Detective Inspector Manago said.
“We … acknowledge that this is a difficult time for Ms Sanowski’s family and the QPS extends our sympathies to [them] as they deal with this difficult situation.”
Police are appealing for anyone who has seen anything suspicious in the vicinity of Beryl Court in Bellbird Park, or who has relevant CCTV footage, since early February to come forward.
