OPINION — When a child first says they want to pursue acting, parents often feel a mix of excitement, pride and uncertainty. Acting can be a meaningful creative outlet that builds confidence and communication skills, but the entertainment industry can also feel overwhelming — especially for families who don’t live in or near Hollywood.
