On an impressive winning streak, having notched up six wins a row, the WA Women’s team have rollicked their way into finals contention for the 2025-26 Women’s National Cricket League.
To make the final against New South Wales at Cricket Central in Sydney, WA will need to win each of their remaining matches. A bonus point will help their cause even more.
Those contests are against ACT Meteros in home comforts at the WACA Ground, setting up a scintillating clash for top two honours.
A bottleneck in the middle of the standings, with just four points separating second and fourth, means a few things need to go WA’s way.
Just one point ahead in the standings, Queensland need to drop one of their last two games s against Victoria to make it an easier runway for WA to make the trip to Syndey.
And we can’t forget about South Australia, who are breathing down the neck of WA. If they go down to either ACT or New South Wales, the battle for second place is down to two.
By the time Sunday 15 March rolls around, WA will know what they must do out on the pitch to secure their spot on the flight from Perth.
WA play their last two remaining games against ACT Meteors on Friday 13 March and Sunday 15 March at the WACA Ground.
First ball is scheduled for 2.00pm or you can watch via Kayo or cricket.com.au.
