Known for producing wheels, rims, tyres and clothing for gravel and MTB riders since 2015, Teravail is branching out with the launch of new gravel and bikepacking handlebars, dropper posts and bar tape.

Bikepacking and gravel riding continue to boom in popularity, with many riders adopting these versatile bikes for adventure, commuting, and simply getting out to enjoy dirt roads. It’s understandable why these bikes are so popular. They’re fun, capable, versatile and, compared to MTB, more affordable. But like any cycling discipline, once you’re hooked, you’ll want to make your bike your own. You’ll adapt it to suit your needs and style, or simply make it more practical for carrying luggage.

This is where the new Teravail range of gravel and bikepacking components comes into play. A huge selection of aftermarket bars, plus additional cockpit components, allows you to set your bike up exactly how you want it.

Teravail Gravel Bars

Teravail’s new range of gravel-specific bars comes in two versions, the Feldspar and the Radia 12. Each model is available in three material options and a range of widths, drop and reach measurements to ensure a bar that suits both your bike and riding style.

The Feldspar will be available in three materials, which we assume will reflect clear price differences. Aluminium versions will sit at the entry and mid-level, while a carbon version will sit above. The alloy version is made from 6061 aluminium and is offered in widths from 40cm to 48cm, all with a 16-degree flare and reach and drop figures of 67mm and 100mm.

The Feldspar Carbon features a UD carbon construction and the same 40cm to 48cm width options. However, it has a slightly longer 68mm reach and two flare options, 12 degree and 20 degree. The carbon bar also features a more sculpted design that isn’t possible with alloy construction, with a layup designed to provide enough flex to smooth out rough surfaces.
The Radia follows the same three material formula, but as the name suggests, the Radia 12 is only available with a 12-degree flare. Teravail says the Radia 12 has been designed to blend speed, comfort and efficiency for high-performance gravel and paved riding.

Teravail Bikepacking Bars

On the bikepacking front, we have the Radia 24, and as you guessed, it features a 24-degree flare. It’s available across a larger width range, from 38cm to 52cm, giving riders a huge choice of sizing. The drop bar has been designed to offer plenty of space for mounting bags and accessories, and will be available in both alloy and UD carbon options.

If you’re not a drop bar fan, the Teravail Moonstone is an interesting alternative. Designed for clunkers and bikepacking rigs, it features an MTB-inspired riser bar design with a moto-style brace. As the Moonstone is a one-piece carbon bar, it offers lighter weight while still providing versatility for mounting accessories and bags. The Moonstone is available in a single specification with a 31.8mm clamp, 16-degree backsweep, eight-degree upsweep, 85mm rise, and an 826mm width.

The Swale is a lower-rise bar with a pronounced sweep to ensure a very comfortable riding position. It features a 23-degree backsweep and five-degree upsweep, with width options from 780mm to 820mm. It is available in both 6061 T6 alloy and UD carbon versions.

Finally, in the bikepacking range is the Lytho, a bar that looks closer to a traditional MTB handlebar, again offered in alloy and carbon versions. The Lytho features an 11-degree backsweep, a six-degree upsweep, and two rise options, 15mm and 20mm.

To keep your cockpit on brand, Teravail is offering the Radia alloy stem with a 31.8mm clamp to work perfectly with the new gravel and bikepacking bars. The stem is made from alloy with a bead-blasted black finish and is available in lengths from 60mm to 120mm in 10mm increments.

Teravail Gravel Seatposts

Teravail has also released two seatpost options. There’s the static Stratum post, which follows the same material approach as the bars, with alloy and carbon versions available. This time, however, there are two different alloy models. The Stratum is made from 6061 aluminium, while the Stratum SE is manufactured from 2014 aluminium. Weight-conscious riders will likely opt for the UD carbon version.

Perhaps the more interesting option is the new Telec 27.2, a dropper post with a narrow 27.2mm diameter, which is still relatively rare. The post features stealth routing and has been designed for reliability and serviceability, exactly what you want when heading out on an adventure. It is available only in 27.2mm diameter, with drop options from 100mm to 125mm.
Matching the dropper is a drop bar-specific remote. The Telec DB remote sits neatly on drop bars with a two-way lever that allows the rider to activate the post from both the tops and the drops. The lever has a minimalistic design and uses cartridge bearings for smooth operation.

Last but not least is the Radia bar tape, a three-layer, water-repellent, anti-slip surface made from lightweight foam to deliver excellent grip and long-lasting performance.
