MAFS doubles Australian Idol and quadruples Australian Survivor, which is down on its 2025 premiere.
Australian Survivor has taken a hit from the tribe in its first outing with new host David Genat.
Last night the refreshed reality show drew 464,000 viewers in National TV Audience, down on its February 2025 number of 527,000 with former host Jonathan LaPaglia.
There would be other factors at play including the power of Married at First Sight at 1.87m (from the same production company ESA) -but Survivor was also against MAFS last February.
7:30 was high at 918,000 then Australian Idol (762,000) and an unscheduled episode of Australian Story (641,000) which was changed by ABC for “editorial” reasons.
Later Media Watch was 596,000 then Four Corners (585,000), a Winter Olympics Closing Ceremony repeat (359,000) 911 (322,000) and Matlock (139,000).
Nine News won with 1.4m as did A Current Affair (1.2m) and Tipping Point (784,000).
Seven News drew 1.37m for Seven then Home & Away (929,000) and The Chase (621,000).
ABC News scored 998,000 then Planet America (546,000 and Hard Quiz (343,000).
Millionaire Hot Seat drew 330,000 for 10 then 10 News (273,000), Deal or No Deal (196,000) and 10 News+ (156,000).
On SBS it was SBS World News (192,000 / 146,000), Inside the Tower of London (100,000), 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown (94,000), and Never Mind the Buzzcocks (62,000).
