CAMPBELL Logan’s first race meeting as a Tickford driver proved memorable in more ways than one.

The Tasmanian has joined Tickford Autosport for what is his third Super2 season, having spent the past two years at Walkinshaw Andretti United.

After a solid if unspectacular Saturday in Sydney, Logan shone on Sunday morning to record third on the grid for Race 2 – the best qualifying result of his Super2 career to date.

A shocking opening lap in which he lost nine places cost Logan a shot at a career-best race result, although he did at least claw his way back to seventh by the chequered flag.

The 21-year-old then capped the Eastern Creek visit with his maiden Gen3 laps, cut aboard Cam Waters’ Monster Mustang during a corporate ride day on Monday.

Two of Logan’s Super2 teammates Reuben Goodall and Nash Morris also took part in the day as expected with Tickford and PremiAir Racing, given their Enduro Cup co-drives with Thomas Randle and Declan Fraser respectively.
