In a completely unexpected announcement made via social media just moments ago, metalcore outfit Better Lovers announced that they have parted ways with vocalist Greg Puciato. Details as to why the split happened are scarce at this moment, so all we have to go off of at this time is the band’s statement.
“Better Lovers is parting ways with Greg Puciato.
“We’re proud of the work we’ve done together but we are moving in another direction.
“To all of our fans, thank you for riding with us these past few years. We’ve accomplished so much in such a short time with your support and we’re still beyond excited to continue down this road with you.
“The four of us are finishing writing a new album which we are extremely proud of and currently looking for a new singer.
“Thanks for your understanding, we’ll see you soon.”
Better Lovers have been working on their sophomore full-length album and follow up the their critically acclaimed debut Highly Irresponsible since last July. It makes you wonder how far along in the process they are and if they have been forced to scrap Puciato’s contributions to their work now that they’ve parted ways.
Ever since the band’s inception in 2023, Better Lovers has been comprised of ex-Every Time I Die members Jordan Buckley, Clayton “Goose” Holyoak, and Stephen Micciche, Fit for an Autopsy‘s Will Putney, and ex-The Dillinger Escape Plan vocalist Greg Puciato. Today’s announcement is a major shift that will likely drastically alter the band’s sound.
Just last week, Puciato announced that he was going on tour with The Black Queen. As of this posting, Puciato has yet to issue a statement of his own. If he does, we will update the story accordingly.
