Hollywood has lost another great, with the passing of Robert Carradine, aged 71.
Carradine ws best known for his roles in the classic Revenge of the Nerds films and for playing Hillary Duff’s dad in the Lizzie McGuire series.
He had a wide ranging career in television and film, alongside some of the greats, including John Wayne in The Cowboys and in Martin Scorsese’s Mean Streets, alongside his brother David Carradine.

In a statement his family shared that Robert struggled with a nearly two decade battle with bipolar disorder and described him as a beacon of light to everyone who met him.
There have been many tributes, including from his onscreen daughter, Hillary Duff, who said she will “be forever grateful for his role her life”.
Robert Carradine, rest in peace.
And following the critical and box office success of Wuthering Heights with Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, it seems there’s a barrage of classics heading to our screens.
There’s a new adaptation of Jayne Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, a new series coming to Netflix with Emma Corrin and Jack Lowden playing Elizabeth Bennet and Mr Darcy.
There is also Jane Eyre, starring Amy Lou Wood of White Lotus fame, in the iconic role of an orphan on the search love and equality in 19th century England.
It’ll also be penned by the same writer who worked Succession.
