DORADO BEACH, Puerto Rico — App State Men’s Golf took seventh out of 15 teams at the Dorado Beach Collegiate on Tuesday, closing the three-day event with the second-best final round.
 
Herman Huus used a 3-under 69 to tie for 13th place with a 74-73-69—216 total of even par, while Alex Martin’s 4-under 68 in the final round contributed to a 76-73-68—217 total of 1 over that tied for 19th.
 
Aidan Browning closed with a 1-under 71, and Ben Read’s final-round 73 factored into the 7-under team score of 281. The Mountaineers posted a 299-295-281—875 total of 11 over to finish second among the four Sun Belt teams in the field, and Stetson was the team champion at 15 under, eight shots ahead of runner-up Southern Miss.
 
Read tied for 21st at 2 over (71-74-73—218), and Browning tied for 52nd at 10 over (80-75-71—226).
 
Playing as an individual, Max Cranford finished at 13 over (76-78-75—229), and Cole Bergheim ended up at 14 over (78-77-75—230).
 
The 2025-26 season is presented by Hound Ears Club. The Mountaineers are back in action March 2-3 at the Sam Ryder Intercollegiate in Daytona Beach, Fla.
