In the famous Pakistani cricket talk show, ‘Hasna Mana Hai,’ Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir claimed that Salman Agha might not continue as the T20I captain for Pakistan after this T20 World Cup exit, in response to a query from one of the young fans.

Pakistan started their campaign in the Super-8 seemingly with a blessing in disguise, as they did not have to face the in-form Blackcaps side. Instead, their game was washed out by rain; however, they had the best chance to get the upper hand by defeating the English, who had struggled under the subcontinent conditions in this World Cup.

However, the spin-heavy Pakistan attack that made a good start to their World Cup campaign could not hold on to their form. Shadab Khan seemingly lost his spark, and Mohammad Nawaz and Saim Ayub have been rendered ineffective, resulting in the England skipper single-handedly taking the game away from their clutches.

“Salman Agha will not continue as the captain after this T20 World Cup” – Mohammad Amir

Many questions have often been raised over Salman Agha’s batting form ever since he took over the captaincy for the Pakistan side. Having missed out on runs, Agha was still backed for his timely rescues and his slight impact with the ball from time to time.

Now, his captaincy methods are under the scanner, and even the Pakistani fans have started questioning his retention as the captain of the T20I team, especially after the recent loss to England, which has almost crushed their hopes for a semi-final spot.

A fan in the Pakistani talk show, ‘Hasna Mana Hai,’ questioned Mohammad Amir on his opinion about the retention of Salman Agha as the captain of the T20 team.

Mohammad Amir, whose predictions have been right on the money this World Cup, said calmly, “I don’t think that Salman Ali Agha will be continuing as the T20I Captain for Pakistan after this T20 World Cup.”

Mohammad Amir further added that not only the captain, but also several other players, for whom this would be their final T20 World Cup appearance.

“Will Babar Azam play in T20Is after this World Cup?” – Rashid Latif’s response to this question will shock you

After Mohammad Amir predicted Salman Agha would be snubbed from captaincy, the question arose as to who could replace him as the captain in the format. While the host of the show named the Pakistani ODI skipper, Shaheen Afridi, for the grab, Amir had a totally different opinion.

The former pacer remarked, “In my opinion, currently no one deserves to be the captain.” The discussions did not stop there, as former Pakistani skipper Rashid Latif dropped his whole new suggestion.

Alongside Mohammad Amir and Latif, out-of-favour Pakistani batter Ahmed Shehzad is also part of the same talk show. While a fan questioned whether Babar Azam would continue after this World Cup exit, Rashid Latif gave a quirky response, saying, “There is only one solution to this: Ahmed Shehzad is called back into the team as their captain.”

Is Salman Agha biased towards some players?

Salman Agha’s captaincy has been under the scanner not only for losing games or not making it count on big occasions, but also because he has been accused of taking sides of some of the players and favouring them over others.

One such accusation was made on this same show by Ahmed Shehzad, who claimed that Pakistan and Salman Agha are favouring Shadab Khan over others. He pointed out that he was tipped over Pakistan’s no. 1 T20I spinner, Abrar Ahmed.

Also, Shadab’s bowling spell has been alleged to be brought out at times when the batsmen are restricted from playing big shots. However, Agha has not made any public statement on such accusations.
