The 2026 NFL Draft will be the draft of the hybrid. After watching the Seattle Seahawks win the Super Bowl with a defense featuring dynamic hybrid Nick Emmanwori, NFL teams will have a chance to speak with several prospects who could become another Weapon-X.
Pitt standout Kyle Louis is absolutely one of those players. One of the fastest players at the Senior Bowl, regardless of position at 6 feet 1, 220 pounds, Louis plays with elite coverage ability, above average run instinct and enough tenacity to wear several hats on any NFL defense.
“(The NFL) needs guys like me,” Louis told reporters Wednesday. “(If a team) needs, speed, then I’m right here.
“You don’t have to be 240 to hit the hit stick.”
Louis, Ohio State’s Sonny Styles, Cincinnati’s Jake Golday and LSU’s Harold Perkins are a few of those names to watch this year. They’re all scheduled to test tomorrow in Indianapolis.
