This Friday, College Park Center will go from hardwood to canvas as it hosts a night of professional boxing.

ProBox TV, a boxing promotion and media company, is bringing “The Contender Series” to Arlington and with it, “a night of action-packed world-class boxing,” scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m., according to a press release.

The main event is a 10-round bout between Grimardi Machuca (17-3, 14 KOs) and Fort Worth native Edward Vazquez (18-3, 5 KOs), according to the release.

Machuca is trying to snap a three-fight losing streak, while Vazquez is looking to keep momentum going following a dominant win over Albeiro Paredes.

The co-main event is a 10-round welterweight fight. Ruben Aguilar (23-0-1, 20 KOs) will face off against Luis Lopez (16-2-4, 5 KOs), according to the release.

Aguilar is from Baja California, Mexico, but will walk into Arlington looking to protect his perfect record. Lopez is coming off two draws.

The card features other supporting bouts, including Emilio Garcia (3-0, 3 KOs) facing Ociel Vazquez (2-2, 2 KOs) and Hugo Amador Mendez (6-0, 3 KOs) taking on Christian Luna (3-1, 1 KO), according to the release.
