EXCLUSIVE: Farmer Luke was ready to find love on Married At First Sight, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t loved in the past.
In his unseen audition tape, which you can watch above, the groom opened up about his last relationship for the first time, a relationship that left him feeling “lonely” and hurt.

Luke opened up about love and loss. (Nine)
In his audition, Luke said his last relationship was five years ago.
“It was the kind of relationship where I felt like I was supporting her a lot, and soon after my dad passed away – I’d never had a loss like that before – I would have expected the support to be there for me but I never really felt that,” he explained.
“I felt a bit lonely in the relationship.”

Luke revealed he has only had that one serious relationship, which ended shortly after his father died.
Since then he has struggled to commit, knowing his fear of loss had been holding him back.

In the video, the groom admitted he might have been self-sabotaging, ending things before they progressed any further.
Luke however, has given it his all with MAFS wife Mel. (Nine)
Elsewhere in his audition, Luke opened up about his surprising life in Sydney, including dropping out of university and trying “stock market trading”.
He also talked about his relationship with his three sisters – who fans met on the show.
