Bionic voice company Laronix, which featured on this year’s Australia’s 50 Most Innovative Manufacturers list, has been selected among the new cohort for the Google for Startups Accelerator: AI First program.
According to an update on Google Australia’s blog on Thursday, the program is “designed to help Australian startups building AI and machine learning solutions grow rapidly and responsibly”.
Laronix said on Linkedin: “We have developed AI-powered artificial larynx devices with a key mission in mind: to allow individuals affected by voice loss to speak, sing, and laugh again. The recognition from Google is a powerful reminder of why we do what we do and how far we have come.
“Over the next 10 weeks, we will be collaborating with the amazing Google mentors alongside an inspiring group of founders, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with AI in healthcare and beyond. We’re excited for the journey ahead.”
The 2025 cohort of ten ANZ startups (two from New Zealand) includes workplace safety and “physical AI” business Presien, drug testing and development company Gelomics, and materials science company Atomic Tessellator. The whole list can be viewed here.
