Former MLB All-Star Matt Holliday is looking to sell his home in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

The 136-acre property, which includes a baseball field in the front yard, has been listed for $12 million.

Per the official listing from Wyatt Poindexter Real Estate Agency, other exterior amenities include a pool, hot tub, full kitchen and a private putting green.

The inside of the house includes batting cages, a pickleball court, five bedrooms, two dedicated offices and an exercise room.

In a statement to Joey Schneider of Fox 2 Now in St. Louis, Holliday explained that the home holds strong sentimental value for him because it became his primary residence after retiring from MLB following the 2018 season:

“One of the things I’ve loved most about this home is the opportunity it has given us to gather people together. Some of our favorite memories here revolve around hosting college students and professional athletes for meals, conversation, and meaningful fellowship. The layout and warmth of the space make it so easy to bring people around the table, linger a little longer, and truly connect. There’s something special about a home that naturally invites community, and this one has been the backdrop for so many unforgettable evenings, shared stories, and lasting relationships.”

Holliday, who was born in Stillwater and was recruited to play football at Oklahoma State, opted for baseball after being selected in the seventh round of the 1998 MLB draft by the Colorado Rockies.

After spending six years in the minors, Holliday finally made it to the big leagues with the Rockies in 2004. He spent his first five years with the club, helping them reach the World Series in 2007.

Holliday started the 2009 season with the Oakland A’s before being traded to the St. Louis Cardinals midway through the year. He signed a seven-year, $120 million deal to remain with the Cardinals in January 2010 that remains the richest free-agent deal in franchise history.

After his Cardinals deal expired following the 2016 season, Holliday spent single seasons with the Yankees in 2017 and Rockies in 2018 to finish his career.

Holliday was hired as an assistant coach for Oklahoma State’s baseball team in July 2019. His brother, Josh, has been the Cowboys head coach since 2013.

The Cardinals hired Holliday as a bench coach in November 2022, but he resigned from the position two months later to remain closer to his home in Stillwater.

Matt’s sons, Jackson and Ethan, have been first-round draft picks in MLB in the past five years. Ethan was the No. 1 overall pick by the Baltimore Orioles in 2022. Ethan went fourth to the Rockies in 2025.
