WiseTech has been called to urgently meet the software developers’ union following warnings the company may have failed to fulfil its obligations to consult the workforce on up to 2000 artificial intelligence-related job cuts.
Professionals Australia made the request after it was not given a heads-up on the job cuts announced on Wednesday or consulted on a separate 500 AI-related job cuts the firm made earlier this financial year.
