The next stop on Venus Williams’ comeback tour brings her to the aptly named Queen City for the 2025 Cincinnati Open (7-18 August).

Four-time Olympic tennis gold medallist Williams heads to Ohio with a wildcard for the WTA 1000 tournament, as she gears up her preparations for her return to the U.S. Open in the mixed doubles championship.

The 45-year-old was victorious on her return to both the singles and doubles fields in Washington D.C., going on to exit both events at the Mubadala Citi DC Open to seeded players in the second round.

Venus goes into Cincinnati ranked world number 571, the former world no. 1 chasing a 50th career singles title on home soil. With less than two weeks until a return to Flushing Meadows, every match is crucial.

Williams takes on Jessica Bouzas Maneiro of Spain in the women’s singles first round on Thursday, 7 August, scheduled as the third match on Centre Court.
