His team, Casademont Zaragoza, has announced that they are parting ways with the 10-year NBA veteran guard.
The 32-year-old Richardson joined the club after a period of inactivity due to injury. Richardson and the club agreed to a 10-day trial period, which was later extended by mutual agreement. Once the trial period came to an end, both parties agreed to terminate the contractual relationship.
Richardson averaged 6.7 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1 assist in three appearances in the Spanish league.
He also appeared in two FIBA Europe Cup games, where he averaged 14 points and 3.5 rebounds.
After being drafted by the Miami Heat in the second round of the 2015 NBA Draft, the 32-year-old spent 10 seasons playing in the NBA, appearing for six different teams, including the Heat, Philadelphia 76ers, Dallas Mavericks, Boston Celtics, San Antonio Spurs, and New Orleans Pelicans.
He has appeared in more than 550 games, averaging 11.5 points, 3 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and over 28 minutes per game during his ten NBA seasons.
Last season, he appeared in eight games for the Miami Heat, playing around 18 minutes per game and averaging 4 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists.
