Leon Kennedy returns to Resident Evil with a series-record score. According to SteamDB, Resident Evil Requiem has 301,009 concurrent players at the time of writing, but by the time anyone reads this, that number will almost certainly be higher. Critics and gamers alike have been unanimous in their positive evaluations of the game, with a user rating of 86.22% also growing throughout the day.

Requiem has over 267,000 players in just one hour of release. In fact, it has many more people playing it at the same time, as Steam’s stats don’t include the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The game is a significant leap ahead of the series’ previous record-holder, Resident Evil 4, which peaked at “only” over 168,000.
