Julian Reese earned a shoutout from his big sister after the Washington Wizards signed him to a contract.

The Wizards announced on Saturday that Reese has signed a two-way contract, prompting Angel Reese to exclaim on X, “so proud of you!”

Julian, 22, went undrafted out of Maryland in 2025. He signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Toronto Raptors in October.

In 39 games with the Raptors’ G League affiliate, Reese averaged 7.8 points and 7.0 rebounds. He will likely get the chance to have significant playing time in the NBA with the Wizards over the final six weeks of the regular season.

Washington had seven players listed on its injury report for Thursday’s game against the Atlanta Hawks. Kyshawn George was questionable leading up to tipoff and wound up sitting out due to a knee injury.

A two-way contract allows teams to keep a player active for up to 50 games with the NBA club. The Wizards only have 24 games remaining this season.

Reese could potentially make his NBA debut on Saturday night against his former parent organization when the Wizards take on the Raptors at Capital One Arena.

Angel’s praise for her brother comes as she recently returned to Unrivaled as part of the Rose BC team for the remainder of its season. The Chicago Sky star scored 17 points in Friday’s loss to Phantom BC.
