India won the toss and chose to bowl against Australia

Lucy Hamilton will make her international debut in place of an ill Megan Schutt while Georgia Wareham return to replace Darcie Brown as Australia search for an ODI series sweep against India in Hobart.

India have made three changes after Harmanpreet Kaur won yet another toss and elected to bowl first. Renuka Singh returns after being rested for the second ODI while Harleen Deol and Sneh Rana get their first opportunities of the tour. Amanjot Kaur, Kranti Gaud and Vaishnavi Sharma have all been omitted while Shafali Verma is missing for the second straight game.

Deol’s selection means India will have a different No.3 in each of the ODIs in this series, with Verma filling the role in game one before World Cup hero Jemimah Rodrigues returned there in game two but she has been listed to bat at No.5 in game three with Deol set to come in at first drop.

Harmanpreet opted to bowl first after the decision to bat first in the first two ODIs backfired badly.

Hamilton, 19, makes her international debut after being rushed into the squad ahead of the first ODI following the quad injuries to Ellyse Perry and Kim Garth. The left-arm seamer is in the mix to play in next week’s Test match but gets a debut before that with Schutt ruled out with illness. Brown has been left out with Wareham returning to give skipper Alyssa Healy another spin option in what will be the final ODI of her career.

Meanwhile, Garth has left the squad to return to Melbourne and has yet to resume bowling just five days out from the Test in Perth. She is expected to re-join the squad in Perth but may be struggling to be fit for the Test match.

Australia have added Rachel Trenaman to assist with drinks and sub fielding duty for the third ODI with Schutt, Perry and Molineux unavailable.
