Asus has worked with Noctua in the past to release quite air-cooled GPUs so the latest partnership for the RTX 5080 is not surprising. However, it does stand out compared to previous Asus and Noctua cards, not only because of its size but also a more Noctua heavy appearance. The full specifications for this GPU have also been revealed confirming that it is not the fastest RTX 5080 by any means, but is surely the quietest.
Asus GeForce RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7 Noctua OC Edition
Aesthetically, this RTX 5080 shows Asus has leaned more heavily into the Noctua color scheme. It uses the brown fans with a beige rim, but the shroud is also a lighter shade of brown with silver accents. Previously, the Noctua versions of Asus GPUs have had a an almost black shroud with brown fans surrounded by a thicker beige rim. They have also been dual-fan cards but the RTX 5080 is a triple-fan offering.
As per the specs, with its OC mode, the GPU can reach up to 2,730 MHz which puts it somewhere in the middle of RTX 5080 lineup Asus offers. It houses three Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 120 mm fans that sit on top of an optimized vapor chamber with a large fin array. Like its other RTX 5080 offerings, the Noctua version also uses a phase-change GPU thermal pad for optimal heat dissipation. Also like the other variants, it has a 0dB tech which turns the fans on only under a certain amount of load.
As for dimensions, the Asus GeForce RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7 Noctua OC Edition is a chunky GPU taking four slots. It measures 385x151x80 mm which is even thicker than the ROG Astral series and significantly thicker than the ProArt RTX 5080. Unlike the ProArt variant, the Noctua version does not get a USB Type-C port.
Pricing and availability for the Asus GeForce RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7 Noctua OC Edition are unclear at this point.
