At home, Steffy and Finn make out before work. She shares that she plans to meet up with Hope about Taylor and Deacon.
Finn’s not sure that’s a good idea. Steffy understands why Hope wants her dad away from the crazy person, but the consequences can be dire. She has to make sure Hope’s not encouraging Deacon toward her mother. Guess what?
In Forrester’s design office, Hope convenes a family meeting with Deke and Deacon, who learns that his kids want to know where things stand with him and Taylor.
Getting down to brass tacks, Hope and Deke make sure their dad knows he deserves better than Sheila… something’s not working in his marriage because he knows Taylor is the woman he should be with instead. Laying it on thick, they urge him to admit he loves her.
Deacon says he doesn’t want to talk about his love life, and his kids jump on the word “love”. He admits it!
Speaking of Taylor, she’s over at Il Giardino navigating a delay on her pizza order. Sheila corners her and declares that she needs her help with Deacon. Taylor tries to beg off, but the madwoman persists, revealing that Deacon won’t have sex with her. Not awkward at all!
Taylor informs Sheila that Deacon’s not her patient anymore. Sheila wants to get in with her, but Tay nixes that idea. Sheila pesters the World-Renowned Psychiatrist™ until she realizes she’s late for her pedicure (does she get a discount for only eight toes?), and leaves Taylor exhaling in relief.

Right on cue, Deacon appears. He’s thrilled to see Taylor given he can’t stop thinking about her. Taylor’s on edge about Sheila seeing them, but Deacon’s unfazed. He smoulders that he wants to reach over and touch her. Taylor gasps, “We can’t,” reminding him of Steffy’s ultimatum. “I can’t see you, Deacon.” He points out that she’s at his restaurant.
Back at Forrester, Deke and Hope agonize over their father’s love life. Conveniently, given she’s on her way, Deke mentions how pissed she would be if she knew they were pushing Deacon toward Taylor. Hope’s sure she’ll try and bully her into seeing her point of view.

Launching into a rant on Steffy always telling her what to do, Hope complains that she even made her fire her own brother. Deke assures her he’ll get another fashion job. They recap that their dad deserves to be with Taylor until Steffy walks in and declares that can’t happen.
The Final Scenes
As Steffy informs Deke and Hope that she got through to her mother, who dumped Deacon, Taylor’s at Il Giardino smiling across the table at the man himself. She awkwardly tells him that Sheila cornered her for help… with their sex life. Deacon admits he can’t think of anything but Taylor, who agrees… she can’t think of anything else. They nearly kiss in public, but she puts on the brakes.
Deacon declares his love, as does Taylor. He reaches for her necklace and they get thisclose. Egad, the staff could see! This is the definition of a massive risk, folks!
