Sky watchers witnessed the last blood moon for two years on Tuesday evening.

The spectacle lit up skies across the globe with a red hue when the Sun, Earth and moon aligned in such a way that the moon passed into the earth’s shadow.

People from all around the world looked up from their backyards, parks and beaches to see the moon which was observed across Asia, Pacific Islands and the United States, with totality lasting for approximately 59 minutes.
