EastEnders spoilers follow for Wednesday’s episode (4 March), which is available to watch now on streaming service BBC iPlayer and hasn’t yet aired on TV.

Eastenders’ Ravi Gulati has finally been caught out by Mark Fowler, after he defied Priya and warned his friend. Ravi has been working as a police informant with Jack Branning, following the fallout from last year’s drug dealing storyline.

In January Mark arrived on the Square, on a mission to sniff out a mole that has been informing on the drug gang he’s working with.

Since his arrival, Mark has become friends with Ravi and the two have even worked on jobs together, with Mark yet to suss out Ravi’s true identity.

Earlier this week, Ravi was informed by Jack that a police sting would be happening where lower members of the drug gang would be arrested.

Ravi was left torn over whether or not to tell Mark but when he confessed to Priya what was happening she urged him to keep quiet and let Mark get arrested.

On Tuesday’s episode, Ravi and Mark were drinking together in Harry’s Barn when Ravi nearly let slip what was happening before Priya came in and stopped him.

On tonight, Priya warned Ravi again not to tell Mark, saying the family will be safer when he’s in prison.

Later Priya saw them talking on the Square as Mark prepared to head off on his job.

As Mark arrived at the drop off point, Ravi appeared to warn him that the location was too open. When Mark didn’t listen, Ravi said he had a bad feeling about it before police cars appeared and arrested the other men, as Mark was able to run away.

In the Square, Priya ran into Mark as Ravi arrived back. Taking him for a chat, Mark thanked Ravi for stopping him from getting arrested.

When he asked Ravi how he knew something was about to happen, Ravi said he just “had a hunch” and wanted to warn Mark because they’re mates.

After Ravi left, Mark made a phonecall to his boss saying: “It’s about the rat. I’ve got him.”

How much more danger has Ravi put his family in by protecting Mark?

EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
