PHNOM PENH –The Cambodian Cycling Federation will hold the third edition of the Cambodian Children’s Cycling event, a 310 km charity ride from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap, on May 30 to support hospitals and orphanages in Battambang province.
The ride will start at the Independence Monument at 4:30 am and finish at Angkor Children’s Hospital in Siem Reap.
Nou Chamroeun, Secretary General of the Cambodian Cycling Federation, stated that the event aims to aid hospitals and orphanages in Battambang while also commemorating International Children’s Day and UCI’s World Bicycle Day in June.
Additionally, the federation intends to submit photos of the event to the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) for review.
“We will send photos of this event to the UCI to demonstrate our effort in organizing a charity cycling event for the global community,” Chamroeun explained.
Organizers anticipate about 200 participants, similar to the previous two editions, which drew between 200 and 300 cyclists.
