Saracens have confirmed that breakthrough sensation Noah Caluori has penned a long-term deal with the club.

The current top try scorer in the PREM stepped up to the senior squad at the beginning of the season after impressing throughout his time in the academy and while on loan at Ampthill.

The 19-year-old made an immediate impact on his PREM debut, scoring off the bench against Newcastle Red Bulls in the opening fixture of the campaign. From that moment on, his rise has been nothing short of electric.

Caluori has since delivered a series of eye-catching performances in North London, including a five-try haul against Sale Sharks and four more against Newcastle on their return to NW4 in January.

He has also been nominated for the Gallagher PREM Breakthrough Player of the Year award and made his England A debut against the All Blacks XV that year.

“Having been part of Saracens since I was 14, when the opportunity came to re-sign with the club, it was a no-brainer for me.

“The coaches, teammates, academy staff here have all been a huge part of my journey so far, so I’m really excited to be staying and hopefully be a part of a really exciting future at Saracens”.

Director of rugby Mark McCall added: “Noah has burst onto the scene this season in the most exciting way. Alongside his obvious talent and athleticism, he is open-minded, hard-working, and clear about where he wants to take his game.

“He has shown the self-assurance and confidence any young player needs to grab the playing opportunities that have come his way. We are thrilled he has committed his long-term future to the club.”

Alfie Barbeary to Saracens

The Bath number 8 has reportedly been poached by Saracens, as they look to fill the giant hole set to be left behind by the France-bound Tom Willis.

Fan favourite Barbeary had plenty of competition for his shirt with the already stacked back row names in the blue, black and white, so with the incoming Dan du Preez from Sale Sharks on the horizon, his game time was set to be severely limited.

Barbeary has been in terrific form this season, most notably shining in Bath’s European challenge, but if he is to progress to international selection under Steve Borthwick, he will need to be as visible as possible.

Tom Dunn to stay in the West Country

Bath stalwart Tom Dunn has reconfirmed his commitment to the club by signing a two-year deal that will keep the 33-year-old in the West Country until at least 2028.

Having made 261 appearances for the club, Dunn said: “I’m really proud to represent this club for as long as I have. This group is creating something special and I feel privileged to be a part of it.

“The blue, black and white fans have been unbelievable and I’m going to do everything I can to give them more to celebrate.”

Head of rugby Johann van Graan added: “Tom Dunn has been ever-present in our 23 since our journey started together back in July 2022.

“He is one of the most consistent players that we have, both on and off the pitch, and he embodies everything we stand for here at Bath, the main one being tough to beat. It’s great news that Tom will continue his journey at Bath as a one-club man.”

Dunn joins a whole host of contract extensions at the club, including Sam Underhill, Will Stuart and Kieran Verden.

George Barton re-signs with Gloucester

Playmaker George Barton has committed his future to Gloucester rugby after an impressive series of showings at full-back.

Head coach George Skivington commented: “George is highly regarded here at the club and by our supporters, especially as a local lad. He’s a highly competitive individual and can cover multiple positions. He also has one of the best kicking percentages in the PREM.

“I believe the best is yet to come for George, and I’m really pleased he’s chosen to stay at his hometown club. “

Barton added: “Anyone who knows me understands how much this club means to me. It’s an honour and a privilege to be able to play in front of the best fans in the league and remain at a place like Kingsholm.

“There are some exciting changes ahead, and I’m eager to be part of what’s to come. I’m delighted to have re-signed and to play my part in moving the club forward again in the right direction.”
