GENERAL Motors’ spearhead driver Anton De Pasquale conceded his DeWalt Camaro had little in the way of answers for rivals on a hectic Friday afternoon in Melbourne.

One of the big stories from this week has been the form swing away from Chevrolet at Albert Park, having held a perfect 11-from-11 record across its past three visits to now struggling for top 10 representation whatsoever.

Having been the top GM runner on Thursday in ninth, 10th yesterday for De Pasquale equated to second among the Bowtie contingent (Jack Le Brocq was sixth for Matt Stone Racing).

“Pretty hectic race: a lot going on, cars going everywhere,” surmised De Pasquale, who was a race winner last month in Sydney.

“We’ve not really got much to fight with, so that’s it.

“Pretty set tomorrow to go again and hopefully it’s better.”

Teammate David Reynolds meanwhile finished Race 5 in 19th after battling tyre blistering.

De Pasquale and Reynolds are sixth and 13th respectively in the championship after five races.

Another two races are still to play out this weekend, the grids for which will be set via a couple of rapid-fire qualifying sessions this morning from 9am.
