Empathy and communication – not technical programming expertise – are at the top of hiring manager wish lists for candidates applying for Australia’s newest AI jobs.
Only 1 per cent of jobs listed in June this year were listed as “AI-related”, up from 0.6 per cent two years ago, according to data from job search site Seek. But as more traditional jobs across different sectors become AI-enhanced, what is defined as an AI role is rapidly changing.
