ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester leaders and community organizations gathered Saturday to help seniors learn how to better plan for the future.

Rochester City Council Vice President LaShay D. Harris hosted the Martha L. Hope Roc Senior Estate Planning Summit at the Joseph A. Floreano Riverside Convention Center, in partnership with Mayor Malik D. Evans, Lifespan, and other community partners.

Organizers say the annual event is designed to give seniors and their families the information they need to make informed decisions about their finances, health, and long-term planning.

“A failure to plan is a plan to fail,” said Harris. “We want our families in the City of Rochester to be able to pass on their generational wealth and their legacy. This planning helps.”
