Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks has finally confirmed the identity of Lucas Hay’s cellmate, and it’s worrying news for the teenager. After being imprisoned following his abduction of his father Ste, could Lucas be in more trouble?

The youngster was put behind bars earlier this year after an altercation with his father, which resulted in Ste being held hostage. Since then. Lucas has realised the error of his ways, and rekindled his romance with former boyfriend Dillon Ray.

Despite that, it was teased in advance spoilers that his progress would be threatened by the arrival of a new cellmate, and that development began in today’s episode of the Channel 4 soap.

The instalment began with Lucas speaking to Dillon on the phone that he had managed to attain behind bars, though their call was interrupted as Lucas headed off-screen. Dillon heard a fight over the line, and was immediately worried.

Dillon headed to Donny, and asked if he could contact any of his former colleagues to get more information. It was revealed that Lucas was recovering following a minor scrap, which had spilled into his cell.

Dillon headed to the prison and spoke with Lucas, who seemed in chipper spirits despite the fight. Dillon dreamt of a future for them, but Lucas urged him to find somebody else instead of waiting for up to seven years.

Lucas’s mood worsened, however, when it was revealed that Connor ‘Sully’ Sullivan was his new cellmate. To make matters worse, the corrupt cop, who raped Donny Clark last year before targeting Dodger Savage, had another villainous plan on his mind.

He explained to Lucas that he had pulled in a favour to have him transferred to that specific cell, adding that it was “about time” that he and Lucas got to “know each other”. The question is – what evil intentions does her harbour now?

“Things are looking up for Lucas, with Dillon prepared to give him another chance,” teased our Hollyoaks insider. “Lucas’s joy over his love life could be short-lived, though, when his sinister new cellmate arrives.”
