The VFL Cats have made three changes as they prepare for a crucial clash with Essendon on Saturday, needing a win to keep their Finals hopes alive.

In exciting news for Geelong supporters, premiership defender Jake Kolodjashnij will make his long awaited return from injury, set to play his first game in 2025.

The Cats will also be bolstered by the return of important duo Marcus Herbert and Nathan Kreuger, after both players missed the Round 18 win over North Melbourne.

Mitch Knevitt comes out of the side after earning a recall to Geelong’s AFL team, Ollie Henry will miss this week after entering concussion protocol, while Taj Wyburd also makes way.

All matches in the 2025 Smithy’s VFL and VFLW seasons will also be live streamed free via the AFL website, AFL Live Official App and VFL App.
