Proof the entire NFL is desperate for offensive line help might be best represented with a former Cincinnati Bengals player in free agency this week.
Cordell Volson, a fourth-round pick by the Bengals in 2022, landed a free-agent deal with the Tennessee Titans this week.

For Volson, it’s a one-year deal worth up to $4.2 million, with $2.5 million of the contract guaranteed.
It’s a surprising number for Volson, who has earned roughly $6.2 million to date in the pros. He was one of the bigger pain points during down years for the offensive line in Cincinnati, so this type of deal with guarantees might raise an eyebrow or two.
To their credit, the Bengals properly started over and finally have the best line of the Joe Burrow era to date with Scott Peters overseeing things. They’ve even found encouraging younger players like Jalen Rivers as versatile depth in recent drafts, letting them skip these types of desperate market searches for help.
