My team is locked in and ready to go – without Marcus Bontempelli or Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera.

Bontempelli will play at a high level every week, but for $100k cheaper I can get his teammate Ed Richards.

Richards was unbelievable last year and I still think he’s underrated. He will play permanent midfield every week and has scoreboard impact, which is great for SuperCoach. I just think he’s a jet.

I also left Nas out. In fact, I’ve never had him in my team. I was worried moving to the midfield would make it more difficult for him to score this year, and we saw an example of that in opening round.

With the way the game is moving I’m avoiding rucks who score a lot of their points at stoppages, like Tristan Xerri, in favour of more mobile players who can get 15-20 disposals and hit the scoreboard.

Tim English fits that mould and I think De Koning will play majority ruck at the Saints, although I admit I’m picking on hope more than certainty that he’ll have a big year.

The player I’m taking a risk on is Luke Davies-Uniacke.

He’s a star. North Melbourne needs him to lead that midfield and at $526,900 I think he’s worth a little punt.
