More than half of the Australian workforce – including 1.6 million managers, 147,000 lawyers and nearly 800,000 finance workers – could be swept up in the white-collar “wipeout” if predictions about where artificial intelligence is going prove true, warns University of Sydney business school professor Clinton Free.
Free took last week’s landmark report on AI workforce disruption by Anthropic and mapped it against Australian job classifications.
