Penrith duo Nathan Cleary and Isaah Yeo are set to sit out Friday’s clash with the Rabbitohs as coach Ivan Cleary manages their workload in the post-Origin period.
At the Sharks, star centre Jesse Ramien has been ruled out due to hamstring tightness, opening the door for Chris Vea’ila to make his NRL debut against the Roosters.

Sharks:Â Centre Jesse Ramien has been ruled out with hamstring tightness, his place taken by 22-year-old debutant Chris Vea’ila. A change on the bench as well with Billy Burns again brought in to replace Daniel Atkinson, who drops to 18th man. Addin Fonua-Blake will play his 200th NRL game.
Roosters:Â Chad Townsend is on track for his first NRL game since Round 5 after being named to replace the injured Hugo Savala (wrist) at five-eighth. Townsend suffered a concussion in NSW Cup earlier this month and while he sat out last weekend, he should be ready to go on Friday night. Spencer Leniu has been named on the bench, but could make a late switch with Lindsay Collins, as was the case last week. No changes in Thursday’s 24-hour update.

Panthers: One late change with Jack Cole has been promoted to the interchange, while Daine Laurie drops out of the squad. Dylan Edwards and Mitch Kenny are the new co-captains after coach Ivan Cleary opted to rest Nathan Cleary and Isaah Yeo. Edwards sat out last week’s game, with Brian To’o also returning from Origin duties this week, however Liam Martin will miss a second-straight match with a wrist injury. Scott Sorensen is preparing to return from suspension in the back row, while Izack Tago has accepted a one-game ban. Paul Alamoti comes into the centres as a result.Â
Rabbitohs: Rabbitohs fullback Latrell Mitchell has been ruled out of tomorrow night’s game against the Penrith Panthers with a quadriceps injury sustained at training today. Mitchell will be sidelined for approximately four weeks with the injury. Earlier, Liam Le Blanc has been named at 18th man and could make a quick return after suffering a back injury in the Round 18 loss to the Sea Eagles. The news is less positive for Davvy Moale, Brandon Smith and Campbell Graham, however, who have all been ruled out of Friday’s clash. Jack Wighton remains in the halves with Cody Walker still sidelined. Lewis Dodd is listed on the bench but could drop out if Wayne Bennett turns to Le Blanc to add another forward to the interchange.Â

Raiders:Â Veteran Josh Papalii has been named to start in his first game since last week’s Origin heroics, however coach Ricky Stuart could opt to play him off the bench as he has done regularly this season. That would open the door for Morgan Smithies to come back into the starting side. Hudson Young is also back from the Blues and will start despite managing a groin complaint in recent weeks.Â
Eels:Â Departing playmaker Dylan Brown is set to line up as 18th man as coach Jason Ryles turns an eye to the future. Young gun Joash Papalii will start at five-eighth, while Ryley Smith is straight back into hooker in his return from suspension. The loss of Kitione Kautoga (ankle) has seen Jack Williams shift to the back row and J’maine Hopgood added to the starting side.Â

Bulldogs:Â Physical forwards Sitili Tupouniua (hamstring) and Daniel Suluka-Fifita (concussion) have been named in the reserves and are a chance of making their NRL returns from injury, with Suluka-Fifita successfully getting through NSW Cup last week. Lachlan Galvin is set to start his first game as halfback for the Bulldogs and will partner Matt Burton in the halves. Toby Sexton drops out of the 17 as a result. Stephen Crichton and Kurt Mann are also back on deck, however Bronson Xerri will miss the clash with a groin injury.Â
Dragons:Â Outside back Mat Feagai is pushing to make his NRL return from a long-term ankle injury after successfully playing reserve grade last week. Hamish Stewart (knee) and Luciano Leilua (laceration) are on track to play despite suffering injuries last weekend.Â

Storm:Â Cameron Munster is set to return for the Storm after sitting out last week following the death of his father. Also joining the five-eighth in the side is fellow Queensland star Xavier Coates, however Ryan Papenhuyzen’s return from calf tightness has been put on ice for another week. After coming off the bench last week, Trent Loiero is set to start at lock with Nelson Asofa-Solomona reverting to the interchange.Â
Sea Eagles:Â The Sea Eagles are expected to line up 1-17, with Anthony Seibold naming the same team that defeated South Sydney before last week’s bye. Tom Trbojevic remains in the centres, with Lehi Hopoate at fullback and Jason Saab on the wing.Â
