Hugh Jackman and Tobey Maguire are getting closer than ever as they team up for Avengers: Doomsday — and it’s reportedly leaving Sutton Foster uneasy.
A source tells Globe that the growing friendship between the two stars has the Broadway actress worried she’s being pushed to the sidelines.
“Hugh and Tobey have gotten to know each other on a deeper level, after being casual Hollywood buddies for all these years,” the source says.
The insider adds that Foster, 50, has struggled with Jackman’s star-studded social circle before, and this new bond isn’t making things any easier.
“Once again, Sutton has found herself left out a little bit, just because Hugh is constantly surrounded by huge stars with just as much Hollywood firepower as he has. It’s his lifestyle,” the source explains.

According to the source, the dynamic between Jackman, 57, and Maguire, 50, can be intense when the cameras stop rolling.
“Hugh and Tobey both have very extreme personalities where they give everything to the on-camera work and need to blow off steam when they’re off set,” the source says. “Again, Sutton is completely apart from all of this, and it has no connection to how she approaches her own high stakes theatre work.”
The source claims Maguire in particular thrives on chaotic energy and often leans on friends to keep him grounded.
“Tobey is an edgy, unpredictable person who always needs a wingman to ratify his behavior,” the insider says. “For decades, that was Leo DiCaprio’s job, but Hugh and Tobey have gotten closer in the last ten months or so, and they have all this history and common ground between them!”

The growing bromance has left Foster feeling uneasy about where she fits into Jackman’s world.
“Is Sutton right to be worried about being crowded out of their bromance?” the source asks. “You bet she is, and ultimately it means she and Hugh are headed for serious trouble.”
