A local broker is offering Australian investors the chance to buy a stake in an Nvidia-backed American start-up that is developing “open” artificial intelligence models designed to rival China’s DeepSeek and could be valued at as much as $US30 billion ($42 billion).

Shaw and Partners this week sent a note to clients inviting them to participate in a series C financing round for Reflection AI, a New York company founded by former Google DeepMind research scientists Misha Laskin and Ioannis Antonoglou, with a minimum investment of $25,000.
