The Warriors are just unstoppable when they’re on a roll and this time Erin Clark links up with fellow middle forward Jackson Ford with a glorious short ball, splitting Ata Mariota and Hudson Young to dive in under the posts.

61′ Joe Tapine could be introuble here
The bomb goes up and Dallin Watene-Zelezniak settles under it.
Joe Tapine chases hard and smacks him in the head with his shoulder. No wrapping motion.
He’s on report and it’s a penalty, but stays on the field. DWZ falling down to ground probably saved Tapine from the sin-bin there.
The match review will be interesting after Stephen Crichton got off for a worse shot in Vegas.

59′ Noah Martin’s going to be in trouble
The Raiders break down the right and Xavier Savage goes within a metre before being held up.
On the last, everyone is lined up out to the left, but Noah Martin tries to go himself from dummy half and the Warriors get numbers in under the ball.
I can’t imagine Ricky Stuart will be happy with that.

56′ Slippery in NZ
(Getty)
Tanah Boyd drops one cold up one end, and then Taine Tuaupiki fumbles as he slides in to try and clean up a grubber from Ethan Sanders.
The Warriors are right under the pump now.

Leka Halasima has another NRL try
The Warriors are really hitting their straps now as Tanah Boyd rolls a grubber in and Leka Halasima is the only pursuer in shot, diving over to ground it.
19m agoFri 13 Mar 2026 at 8:14amAnother plea from the NRL for fans to stay in the stands
The NRL is once again pleading with fans to “celebrate the right way in the stands” if Alex Johnston breaks the try-scoring record tonight.
I honestly don’t know what’s going to happen, but this feels a little bit like when a group repeatedly warns authorities it is going ahead with a protest and said authorities just keep saying please don’t, then are woefully unprepared when said protest happens.

45′ The bunker gets into the game
The cross-field kick goes up and Ali Leiataua leaps and bats it back.
It ends up with Ethan Sanders, who fumbles it over the dead-ball line.
But we’re going to the bunker.
“It’s a genuine contest,” the bunker official says (thank god).
But he adjudges it a knock-on. It’s a line-ball call, but at least a legitimate rule unlike the disruptor nonsense.
27m agoFri 13 Mar 2026 at 8:07amAli Leiataua is a thief!
The Raiders try to attack from halfway as Tom Starling breaks a tackle. He goes deep into the line and tries to find his outside men, but Ali Leiataua swoops on the pass and nicks it.
He shakes off Ata Mariota and sets sail 55 metres to the tryline.
The Warriors lead for the first time tonight as Tanah Boyd pots a tricky conversion.

41′ We’re on again in Auckland
The Raiders kick us off and James Fisher-Harris, having passed his HIA, is back on the charge.
44m agoFri 13 Mar 2026 at 7:49amHALF-TIME: Warriors and Raiders tied at 6-6
Hudson Young is penalised for not rolling away from the play the ball and Tanah Boyd takes a shot at penalty goal from 40 metres out on the angle and it goes wide.
Kaeo Weekes marks it and tries a chip and chase, but he can’t regather. The Warriors do, and Tanah Boyd is tackled to end an exhausting and very wet first 40 minutes in Auckland.

39′ Phenomenal Warriors defence
The Raiders get a repeat set right on the Warriors’ line, but somehow the Kiwis hold them out. Noah Martin and Hudson Young both looked nailed on for tries but were stopped at the last moment.
“It looked like the Warriors had 15 players on the field,” Luke Lewis says on ABC Sport.

37′ The spiral bomb undoes DWZ
Ethan Sanders launches a torpedo bomb off his powerful left boot and it quickly comes down to earth.
Dallin Watene-Zelezniak can’t handle. The initial drop was back according to referee Peter Gough, but he’s knocked on while trying to regather.
That’s about as tough a catch as you’ll get in the NRL.
Raiders attack from 10 metres out.
52m agoFri 13 Mar 2026 at 7:41am33′ Taine Tuaupiki is down as the Warriors level things up with a penalty
Taine Tuaupiki digs into the line before passing to Jacob Laban, who’s taken early by Sebastian Kris.
The penalty is blown, but no sin-bin for Kris.
Meanwhile, Tuaupiki is down and grabbing at his right shoulder. I initially thought he was holding his pec, but it looks like a shoulder issue he can shake off.
And Tanah Boyd pots the penalty goal for 6-6 with five minutes left in the half.

32′ Simi Sasagi wastes a 50m run
The cross-field kick goes up and the Raiders and Warriors sky for it. The ball comes down to the Warriors with a 2-on-1, but it’s intercepted by Simi Sasagi!
He takes off upfield, but is called back after getting reined in because the Raiders knocked it on in the contest.

26′ James Fisher-Harris is off for an HIA
He’s left the field after the game was stopped midway through the Raiders’ set, but there was some confusion whether it was a trainer or the independent doctor who stopped it.
Regardless, he’s off and straight up the tunnel.

21′ The Raiders boot it dead
Ethan Strange badly miscues a bomb and it sails dead. Seven-tackle set for the Warriors from their 20m line.
And they get a penalty … for something.
There’s a swinging arm from Hudson Young, but it’s into the chest of Jackson Ford. It looks like the penalty is for Joe Tapine coming in and making contact with the head.

19′ The set restarts are flowing
(Getty)
After a week of criticism about the number of set restarts in the opening round and the effect they’re having on the game, Peter Gough is dishing them out like free samples at the deli tonight.
Both teams appear to be a little frustrated.
1h agoFri 13 Mar 2026 at 7:20amThe Warriors are over
A penalty and a couple of set restarts get the Warriors rolling and it’s just too hard to repel them on the line in the wet.
They put it through the hands to the right and the Raiders more or less man up, but Dallin Watene-Zelezniak is able to slide over out wide.

9′ Chanel Harris-Tavita is down and out
It’s a really ugly collision as the Warriors five-eighth bends down low and tries to tackle a rampaging Noah Martin.
But he comes reeling out of it after copping a hip and elbow to the head and twisting his neck at a very uncomfortable angle.
He’s sitting up and talking to trainers, which is good to see, but his night is finished.
Taine Tuaupiki comes off the bench.
