As someone who either goes to the gym, runs, or is in the yoga studio almost every day, I’m very picky about the gear I buy.
When it comes to clothing, it has to be soft, supportive, and sweat-wicking. I need a bag that can hold all my gear and workwear. I need shoes that can go the miles and endure the pounding on the gym floor. And I desperately need to stay hydrated and refreshed.
So if you’re new to the game or simply looking to upgrade some of your workout-wear, these are some of my absolute favourites.

I would die for my LSKD sports bras. Am I being dramatic? Maybe. But, they are always so comfortable: the bras are made from soft compression fabric that supports but doesn’t restrict the skin. They are also built with adjustable straps and removable pads to tailor them to your style and needs. Available in sizes 2XS to 3XL and an array of colourways, there’s a pick for everyone.
LSKD Functional Training Backpack 27L
You need a reliable gym bag if you’re going to lug your gear, workwear, laptop, and whatever else around your busy schedule. Durable and ergonomic, this LSKD backpack offers enough space for anything you could need, as well as sitting comfortably, avoiding any dreaded backache.
Nimble Activewear In Pace Storage 2-1 Tank
This tank top from Nimble Activewear is a great option for the gym, running, or to wear casually. Its racerback design and built-in bra make it suitable for an A-C cup, but it’s also easy to layer over a bra, too.
Complete with four pockets, you can store your phone, keys, and gels for convenience on the move.
As a die-hard lululemon/LSKD fan, I was a little sceptical of CSB as a training brand. But this crop sports bra, made from light compression, high-stretch fabric, proved comfortable and flattering for low intensity workouts like weightlifting or Pilates.
lululemon Align High-Rise Short 6″
I’ve tried my fair share of gym shorts, but the ones that I always come back to are the lululemon Align High-Rise Shorts. Though designed for yoga (and for which they are excellent), they also carry me through high-intensity workouts from CrossFit to Hyrox to running. When I die, bury me in these.

The Nike Metcon never fails to disappoint, and with the brand’s latest iteration – the Metcon 10 – it has been a game-changer. Durable, flexible, and stylish, this gym shoe delivers on all fronts.
I always have a loose gym tee to hand when I’m working out. Post-class, it’s essential to have something to throw on before moving on to the next activity of the day. Nike always has fun graphic tees that bring a bit of fun to a gruelling workout.
lululemon Align High-Rise Pant 25″
Now that cooler months are in sight, we have no doubt our tights will return to the weekly wardrobe rotation. And of course – who does it better than lululemon?
LSKD Accelerate 3″ High-Rise Running Short
These are my new favourite running shorts for when I want to feel light and free. They’re available in high and low rise, so you can choose based on your style. LSKD has also released several new colourways, too.
The LSKD shorts are so versatile, I wear them everywhere. (9Product Reviews)YETI Rambler 18 oz Bottle
My emotional support water bottle never leaves my side, and Yeti does them best. That’s just a fact (my opinion).
