Reading twice squandered the lead and were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw in their clash with fellow League One play-off hopefuls Plymouth.
The home side led 2-1 at the break through goals from Randell Williams and Paudie O’Connor – either side of Alex Mitchell’s equaliser.
The visitors deservedly levelled in the 67th minute through Caleb Watts.

The Royals regained their lead in the 18th minute when centre-back O’Connor bundled the ball in at the back post from a Lewis Wing corner.
Argyle emerged stronger after the break to once again level when Watts notched his seventh goal of the season from close range after the home side failed to clear.
Reading could have snatched it near the end but Ashby-Hammond saved well from Kamari Doyle and Lane drove the rebound wide.
