Oppo is reportedly working on the successor to the Pad 4 Pro that launched in April 2025. For reference, the Oppo Pad 4 Pro was a flagship Android tablet that featured a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Now, a tipster has revealed the key specifications and release timeline of the upcoming Oppo Pad 5 Pro.

Tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo claims the Pad 5 Pro will feature a large 13.2-inch display. The leak does not clarify if it will be an IPS LCD panel or an OLED panel.

The upcoming tablet is tipped to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a 3nm flagship Qualcomm processor. For comparison, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 should deliver around 20% faster CPU performance compared to the Snapdragon 8 Elite found in tablets like the OnePlus Pad 3 (curr. $699 on Amazon).

The Oppo Pad 5 Pro may feature a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. It is expected to feature a battery capacity in the 13,000mAh range with 67W fast charging. Furthermore, the tipster suggests four memory configurations: 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, and 16GB/512GB.

The source also indicates that the Oppo Pad 5 Pro may launch in April along with the Oppo Find X9 Ultra. This release timeline may be specific to the Chinese market, and there is currently no word on global availability. In other news, the company is expected to launch a new compact flagship device, the Find X9s, for the global market.
