SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — The Cal Poly women’s basketball team’s 2025-26 Big West conference schedule was announced Friday by the conference, locking in its dates and opponents of the 20 conference games.
Featured on the conference slate is the Dec. 4 Big West home opener against Cal State Fullerton, a New Year’s Day road game at defending champion UC San Diego, and a final Big West home game against Hawai’i.
Under fourth year head coach Shanele Stires, the Mustangs kick off the Big West schedule with that Dec. 4 game against the Titans. They conclude Bold Week Saturday, Dec. 6 on the road at UC Riverside.
Cal Poly will resume Big West play with that New Year’s Day game at UC San Diego followed by the first home game of 2026 Saturday, Dec. 3 hosting Long Beach State. Following road games at UC Davis (Jan. 10) and Hawai’i (Jan. 15), the Mustangs will welcome Blue-Green rival UCSB to Mott Athletics Center Jan. 22.
The Mustangs finish the month of January with two of three games at home before starting February with three of four games on the road. Cal Poly will return home to host Hawai’i for the final time as a Big West opponent Feb. 19.
Cal Poly rounds out its conference slate in March with the final home game of the year against UC Irvine March 5 followed by the final regular season game of the year on the road at Cal State Bakersfield March 7.
The 51st Big West Championship returns to Lee’s Family Forum (Henderson, Nev.) March 11-14 Seeds 5-8 square off in the Wednesday, March 11 opening round, advancing to face seeds Nos. 3 and 4 during the Thursday, March 12 quarterfinals. The top two seeds enter for the Friday, March 13 semifinals with the 2026 Big West Championship final set for Saturday, March 14.
